How it works.
From choosing care to following up afterwards — and what you will pay at each stage.
The patient journey
-
1
Discover
Tell us what you need help with in plain language, or search for a clinician directly.
-
2
Select
See the clinician's credentials, the consultation mode, the time and the fee. No subscription is required to see a price.
-
3
Book
Choose the patient, the slot and the reason for the visit, and give consent for the consultation.
-
4
Pay
Pay by mobile money or card. You receive a receipt, and a failed payment can be retried without losing the booking.
-
5
Prepare
Check your device, upload any documents or results, and read what the consultation can and cannot cover.
-
6
Consult
Meet by video, with audio or chat as a fallback when the connection is weak.
-
7
Complete
Receive notes, and a prescription, test request or referral where appropriate — plus what to watch for afterwards.
-
8
Continue
Follow-up and any ongoing care plan stay in your record, with reminders if you want them.
Pricing
- Fees are quoted in Ugandan shillings.
- The fee depends on the clinician and the network level, not on how long you talk.
- You see the full fee before you pay. There is no mandatory subscription to view a price or book a consultation.
- Tests, medicines and referrals arranged with third parties are charged by those providers and are shown separately.
- Where a price is displayed in another currency for convenience, the conversion and its source are stated.
The consultation fee schedule is being finalised. Until it is published here, the exact fee for the clinician you choose is confirmed at booking, before payment.
Paying
Radius Health accepts mobile money and card payments through its payment provider. An insurer route is available where Radius Health has an agreement with your insurer.
- A receipt is issued for every payment.
- If a payment fails, no confirmed booking is created and you can try again.
- Refunds follow the published cancellation terms for the service you booked.
Common questions
Is an online consultation right for my problem?
For many everyday problems, yes. Each care page lists what can be handled online, what needs an examination, and the symptoms that mean you should be seen in person today.
Do I need an account before I can see prices?
No. You can search, see a clinician's credentials and see the fee before creating an account. An account is needed at the point of payment so your records have somewhere to live.
What happens if my internet is weak?
Consultations fall back from video to audio, and to chat if necessary. If the connection fails entirely, the care team will help you reconnect or rebook.
Can I get a prescription?
Where it is clinically appropriate. An eligible prescription is sent to a licensed pharmacy for pharmacist review. Controlled medicines are restricted by law and some cannot be prescribed remotely at all.
Who can see my records?
You, and the clinicians involved in your care. Health data is sensitive personal data under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, and sharing beyond your care requires your consent.
What if I need to be seen in person?
The clinician will tell you, explain how urgently, and issue a referral. Radius Health cannot send an ambulance or guarantee a bed at another facility.
